Lindsay’s List: Favorite Arizona Local Products

By LINDSAY FRICKS

I am a big proponent of shopping locally. The local entrepreneurs are part of what makes Phoenix and Scottsdale so unique. This week I’m featuring some of my favorite made or designed products.

  1. Sage Aubrey– Sage is a local handbag designer I met through Fresh Start Women’s Foundation. Although her handbags are made in Italy, she is an Arizona local designer. She has such a strong mission around making fashion more approachable and attainable for the modern woman. 95% of the time you can find one of her iconic shaped handbags over my shoulder. Go follow her on Instagram for some of the most authentic and relevant content there is.
  2. D.A. Ranch– Let’s be honest, a list of my favorites wouldn’t be complete without wine. There are some more well known vineyards in Arizona, but in terms of quality of wine, D.A. Ranch of Cornville, Arizona, gets my vote. Their Gertrude Syrah is absolutely delicious and sweetly named after the adorable Donkey you can pet while visiting the ranch. The ranch is also an easy day trip from the Phoenix Metro.
  3. Jayne Collection– Pamela Sassi is the owner and designer of this comfiest sleepwear on the planet. The Jayne Multiway Lounge Pant is hands down my favorite jammies ever! As a bonus, a portion of every purchase goes to support local women. During COVID, Jayne Collection is giving away a piece to a healthcare worker for every purchase. How amazing is that?
  4. Burn Candle Company– Last year I partnered with the owner, Michael, of Burn to put candles in each of my closing gifts and my birthday boxes for clients. These candles are poured right here in Phoenix and they have some really innovative scents. My personal favorite is Pipe Tobacco & Blackberry… this takes me right back to childhood memories with my Papa who was often smoking a pipe. Each year Burn chooses a local charity to donate a portion of their proceeds.
  5. Queen Creek Olive Mill– There are few things I love more than a crusty baguette of bread to dip in some delicious olive oil. We are lucky enough to have some of the tastiest olive oil made right here in the valley. Fun fact, when I first moved up to the valley from Tucson, I lived right in Queen Creek which is a far east suburb of Phoenix. Last year their delicious dipping oil was featured in my local holiday gift basket and given rave reviews from my clients.

What are your favorite locally made or designed products? I’m always looking for new local artisans to support to keep my dollars fueling our economy. Drop a comment below to show a little local love!
