Lindsay's Local Leader: Brian North

By LINDSAY FRICKS

Please meet Brian North: Spontaneous, skateboarder, and Realtor from The OC.

There are leaders and then there’s champions like Brian. I met Brian over the phone when he responded to a message I sent months before joining his brokerage, NORTH&CO. We had instant rapport and a sense of familiarity. I took the opportunity to pitch him on why I would be a valuable addition to the NORTH&CO. community. In spite of some reluctance from others, he hired me on the spot and I think we both agree it was a great decision.

It’s rare to find someone as successful in real estate as Brian who is also as passionately engaged in the success of those who surround him. Brian is a lifelong learner and always in pursuit of self improvement. Although his natural leadership talents have always been his shining quality, when put to the test through C-19 he has risen to the occasion and provided tremendous value and inspiration to our community. Thanks in part to Brian’s coaching, I have accelerated my business throughout COVID to levels I never imagined possible. Brian is one heck of a guy and it’s an honor to share more about his story as my August Local Leader spotlight.

Lindsay Real Estate Arizona

Where are you from and what brought you to Arizona? I am from Orange County, CA and then Durango, CO. I was raised by a very young, single mother and we moved a lot. I went to Durango for school, and then moved to Arizona to work for the Schumacher family at Schumacher Mercedes Benz.

What’s your hidden talent or random unknown fact about you? I love to skateboard, snowboard and surf.. a lot. I also love spontaneous “roughing” it style travel. I find that there’s so much more joy in seeing what the world has to offer than just the finer things.. even though I like those too.

What are 3 items you can’t live without? Oxygen, food, and love. Kidding, kind of. Here’s what you might have been looking for: books, tacos, and my two boys Royce and Rio.

Describe your dream home: A 4000sf mid-century modern, minimalist design, with concrete floors, cedar ceilings, so many windows there’s not even walls, and on top of a mountain with see forever views.

What’s your superpower? Learning wisdom from elders or from my own failures, to minimize suffering for those I love.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? Life happens for us, not to us.

What community organization are you passionate about and why? The Arizona Housing Fund. It is a 100% non-profit that provides housing for the homeless. If I provide homes for those who can, then why not for those who can’t.

What’s your business? Residential real estate. As a brokerage owner, my business is to provide our agents with the tools necessary to grow themselves and their businesses in a way that will allow them to create their best financial lifestyle. Our agents are in the business of providing specialized knowledge for people searching for residential real estate as an investment or primary residence.

What makes you and your business different? We focus on growing humans to new levels of aptitude and performance. The rest is available anywhere.

How can people support your business or community organizations? Tell our story. This story will change the world, not just an industry.
