I just crossed $100 million in lifetime real estate sales this week. It’s an achievement most real estate agents don’t reach in their entire careers, and it’s a goal I’ve pursued for the last 7 years in this industry. I’m taking a moment to reflect on what’s gotten me here.
When I changed careers in 2019, I had no idea what I was in store for. I didn’t know the over 150 families I would have the honor of meeting, loving, and helping navigate one of life’s biggest milestones. I certainly didn’t know how challenging it was going to be to work for myself, learn to build a business from scratch, manage human emotions during high stakes situations, or be the one person you relied on with your largest asset. I had no idea the person I would need to become to serve you at the level you deserve. And honestly, I’m glad I didn’t because I’m not sure I would have taken on the challenge.
When I thought about how I wanted to celebrate this milestone, I considered buying myself a gift or popping champagne with Jason. But the only thing I keep coming back to is wanting to share this moment with you and thank you for supporting me along this journey.
You’re the one who called me when your dad passed and had no idea where to start. You’re the one who texted me before you told almost anyone else that you were pregnant. You’re the one who reached out when you were navigating a heartbreaking divorce. You’re the one who handed me the kind of decision that keeps people up at night, and then trusted me enough to send someone you love my way when it was over.
Most people never find a career that actually fits them. I found one that fills me up. And the reason I still love this work after everything is because of the people in it. Because of you.
So thank you from the bottom of my heart for cheering me on, replying to one of these emails, passing my name to someone you care about, or asking me for advice when it matters most. I want you to know it counts. It all counts.
Thank you for being part of something I’m genuinely proud of.
Lindsay
