Can I tell you what I actually love about my job right now?
It’s the sell-and-buy puzzle. The moment someone says “we want to move but I have no idea how we’d even make that work” and I get to show them that there’s almost always a path they haven’t considered yet.
Most people assume it’s just: sell, scramble, find something, hope the timing works out. And that version exists. But it’s not the only one, and it’s honestly not even the best one for most people.
I walk every client through four different strategies before we ever talk about listing. Which one fits depends on their finances, their timeline, and how much overlap they’re comfortable carrying. This week alone I had a client use family resources to buy first so they could move once without any pressure, and another who negotiated a leaseback after selling so she can close on her new home in Michigan and move directly there. No storage unit, no hotel, no in-between.
The creativity required to put these together is genuinely what gets me out of bed.
I made a guide that walks through all four strategies because I think most people who are stuck aren’t stuck because of the market. They’re stuck because nobody showed them the full picture.
And if you’ve been quietly trying to solve this on your own, let’s just talk. I’ll tell you honestly whether what you’re hoping for is realistic, and if it’s not, I’ll tell you that too.
