Discovering My Truth

By LINDSAY FRICKS

In my teens I knew it was inevitable that I would become a business owner in the future. However, as my twenties slipped away, I was getting further and further from making that dream a reality. After a few traumatic and significant life events (death, near-death, divorce, cross-country move, job changes, etc.) I discovered the one unshakeable truth that changed everything: life is incredibly fragile and short.

The time is now or, quite possibly, never is what motivated me to buckle down and start finding my purpose and truth. I researched franchises, contacted business brokers and read an excessive amount of books. Nothing I found excited or inspired me. Everything just felt forced and unnatural. This led me to dig a bit deeper and really do the self discovery of who I am, what I’m good at and who I want to be in this life.

At the root of all my self work the word that rose to the surface was community. Or, I should say, the lack of community. I had never connected deeply within Arizona and created the type of relationships with the people, places and things that surround me. My work obligations had me traveling weekly and left me little room to truly engross myself in all that Arizona and my existing network had to offer me. Discovering this large void in my life led me to realize the tremendous opportunity to resolve it. I quickly identified that real estate would encompass all my corporate business experience, personal interests and also facilitate my desire to build my community in Arizona.

The last 2+ years I’ve worked to create a personal brand that encompasses not only real estate, but my true values, ideals and priorities. My company tagline is Live & Love in Arizona and as a self appointed Arizona Ambassador, my mission is clear: To be the pillar of my community by creating valuable connections, opportunities to engage, and being a resource to help others achieve their goals and dreams. I intentionally left real estate out of this mission. My goal isn’t to be the best, most successful Realtor ever. Real estate sales will naturally be a byproduct of the valuable relationships I build within my community.

Last month I decided that this big, beautiful vision needs an equally as beautiful branding and logo. Over the last few weeks I’ve gone through the brand development process with an amazing designer, Brooke Purnell of Quiddity Design Co. It was a tall task to come up with a logo worthy to carry my name and tagline. We poured over the details of who I am, who you are and what this logo stands for. It took countless revisions (thanks Brooke), but I’m so thrilled with the result and excited to share more with you as I roll it out in the coming months.

So, what do you think????
