Meet Phoenix Home Designer: Emily Yeates, Urban Revival Phoenix

By LINDSAY FRICKS

Last week I shared my experience using a home designer for the first time and this week I am so excited for you to learn a little bit more about the best home designer in Phoenix, Emily Yeates. The first time I saw Emily’s work was in a gorgeous Rebuilt the Block new construction home in Arcadia Lite. I had already begun interviewing designers, but the aesthetics of both the hard surfaces and furnishing in this home completely wowed me. I immediately looked her up and set up a consultation. From the get go, Emily was my gal. Her energy, knowledge and creativity were so impressive and I feel lucky that she made my house renovation dreams come true.

Please meet fellow cat lover, frequent fast food diner and home design extraordinaire, Emily Yeates:

What’s your hidden talent or random unknown fact about you? My hidden talent is that I’m pretty handy. I love tools and learning how to use them. There has yet to be a house project I’ve been scared to tackle. However, I’ve officially grown out of the desire to crawl under houses and fix sewer pipes ;-).

Where would your dream house be and what are some must have features? My dream house would be in the South of France with stone floors, sprawling rose bushes, and a moss covered roof, anything else is negotiable ;-)!

If you were a pair of shoes what would you be? Any pair of hightops! I can’t resist.

What’s at the top of your bucket list? At the tip top of my bucket list is learning to sail but someday I also hope to have an art gallery featuring artists I’ve found while traveling the world!

What’s your superpower? Problem solving. Where there’s a will there’s a way, and I’m going to find it!

What’s your guilty pleasure? I wouldn’t be able to survive without fast food.

Favorite destination in Arizona? I absolutely love soaking up the sun at Saguaro Lake among the rock cliffs and blue sky. The views are jaw dropping!

Best local restaurant? Hands down, Glai Baan Thai Food. They cook up so many dishes with ingredients I would never touch normally and I just can’t get enough of it!

Favorite local shop/business? Found by Domestic Bliss. I will forever sing their praises. Their old shop in Mesa was my first experience as a child around design and their store will always be nostalgic.

What’s your business? Who is your ideal customer or who do you serve? I have a small interior design firm and we serve customers large and small who value our knowledge and experience to get them to the finish line as stress free as possible. We absolutely love delivering design packages to developers and homeowners that clearly layout how to execute the designs we provide. We love seeing all the hard surfaces come to life and then furnishing the home for our clients to move into their new sanctuary!

What makes you and your business different?  I have a lot of experience in construction. I’ve been around it my whole life and have an extensive understanding of what it takes to not just make things look pretty but also to build it out. It allows me to communicate with contractors and my clients efficiently and effectively.

How can people support your business and get in contact with you? You can follow me on Instagram @Em_UrbanRevivalPHX or submit a contact form at www.UrbanRevivalPHX.com. I am always so grateful when people share on social media what they love about the spaces we design!

I hoped you enjoyed getting to know Emily! If you know another local business that we should spotlight feel free drop a comment below!
